LVM mirroring using different LUN size-from small Vdisk to bigger Vdisk

Hi experts,
Has anyone faced with this situation? Please advise.

I have 01*700GB Vdisk in an OLD Storage (EVA400).
Now I have to migrate all data from the OLD Storage to a new Storage (EVA8100).

Can I migrate from 01*700GB (EVA4000) to 02*400GB (EVA8100)?

Any help much appreciate!

Ya it is possible.

use PVMOVE commend and move PV's.

Move physical extents from /dev/dsk/c1t0d0 to /dev/dsk/c2t0d0 and
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0:

pvmove /dev/dsk/c1t0d0 /dev/dsk/c2t0d0 /dev/dsk/c3t0d0

But I do not want to use pvmove!
Do you have another solution?

then you can go through the LUN migration procedure in storage level i mean in EVA not in OS level.

Ashan is right. U have to use storage tools.

Can you tell how is your 01*700GB (EVA4000)disk is being used now!!

Also whether 02*400GB (EVA8100) disks will be in same configuration like your 01*700GB (EVA4000)disk is?

Taking backup and restoring is another option.
