Virtualization on HP-UX environment, we need to figure out how to build the Virtual OS, which HPUX OS version will support this? Which hardware of HP supports this? What are the software/patches required?

Hi,

There are a few ways to use virtualization on HPUX.
Hard Partitions (Npars)
HP Integrity Virtual Machines
HP Process Resource Manager/pSets
HP Virtual Partitions (Vpars)

The first one is creating hard partitions on server (pa-risc + Itanium)
The second one is to create virtual machines on one a partition (itanium ony for the host)
The third is to use software to create resource groups on one server (pa-risc + Itanium)
The last one is to create virtual partitions on Npars.
