Error while installing patch

Hi,
I am trying to install the patch PHSS_33277 and PHSS_33278 along with dependency PHSS_33279. But I am getting below error

I am suspecting the base software of ANSI C, as this patch is for ANSI C version 6 and I am having version 5.5. I have been asked to install these patches as a part of oracle installation prerequisites.
Pls tell me is that the same reason or the error is pointing in some other direction

These patches are for "HP C Compiler (A.06.02)". If you have version 5.5 of the compiler then these patches WILL NOT work.

Thanks, but to cross check I tried to install the patch which I already installed in the system, but still I received the same error.
It should give me the error like patch is already there but then it given me the same error as mentioned above.

I was doing the patching for oracle and installed lot many patches, now I am suspecting, is that screwed the system

What other patch did you try to install? The specific patch number would be helpful. What was the exact error you received? Are you absolutely sure the other patch you tried to install was for version 5.5 of the compiler?

Installing patches "required" by Oracle should not mess up the system. HP-UX will not install patches it doesn't need unless you force it.

FYI, these versions/patches are obsolete and not supported. The latest version is A.06.20.
