      <title>cmrunpkg hangs on "starting" status</title>

      <description>Hello!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm trying to start my ServiceGuard cluster.&lt;BR /&gt;I called &lt;BR /&gt;cmrunpkg CRS&lt;BR /&gt;and cmviewcl shows:&lt;BR /&gt;  PACKAGE        STATUS        STATE         &lt;BR /&gt;  CRS            starting      starting      &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The status "starting" is present for about hour, it usualy took a minute to start.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can i force whole cluster to go down, and restart it again?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards, Julian&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>The status "starting" is present for about hour, it usually took a minute to start.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There should be some problem, see the below logs for more detail.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/cmcluster/PKG_NAME/PKG_NAME.ctrl.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can i force whole cluster to go down, and restart it again?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#cmhaltcl -v -f&lt;BR /&gt;#cmruncl -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Asif Sharif</description>

      <description>1. delete the files  from &lt;BR /&gt;/tmp/.oracle/*  &amp;amp; /var/tmp/.oracle/*  . and start the package.&lt;BR /&gt; or&lt;BR /&gt;2. Check the CRS_HOME &amp;amp; ORACLE_HOME folder permission.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Muthupandi.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Julian&lt;BR /&gt;This error on metalink is reported with Doc ID:  429214.1&lt;BR /&gt;The symptom is On a Non - RAC ASM instance, after installing new patchset on existing installation or reinstalling the software with new user, CSS service does not start&lt;BR /&gt;and the first solution is to remove the following IPC socket files&lt;BR /&gt;# rm -f /usr/tmp/.oracle/*&lt;BR /&gt;# rm -f /tmp/.oracle/*&lt;BR /&gt;# rm -f /var/tmp/.oracle/*&lt;BR /&gt;Take a lot of this doc and perhaps call you dba.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope it helps</description>

      <description>Thank you Smatador for the info about metalink doc, the problem indeed was connected with Oracle Database upgrade attempt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Oracle didn't mentioned that HPUX IA64 is also vulnerable, as this my architecture.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards, Julian&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>1. login as root and create ssh key.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ssh-keygen -t rsa&lt;BR /&gt;ssh-keygen -t dsa&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is solved our issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--Muthu.</description>
