Syslog message should E-mail me.

As i have to monitor nearly 30 HP UX servers i would like to have all syslogs to be mailed to my email ID daily at the perticular time. Is there any script for this? or please advice me which is the best way to monitor apart from manual monitoring.

Could you please help me in getting the script. I am poor at scripting.

You can purchase OVO for server monitoring. For free solution try Nagios - it's part of the InternetExpress package.

Check also in forum for scripts in case you want only basic monitoring.

why don't you use a proffessional tool like nagios, ovo etc. nagios is free and you can download here.

write whatever report you want to a text file.

Modify that to send your report as an attachment.

Try to purchase HP openview software, as you have already 25 HP servers. This is the only best solution.

Hi,

you can get logcheck (http://logcheck.org/) and try it on hp-ux.

It can mail summaries of filtered logfiles.
