Hi All,

Senierio:-

I have made one of my blades as a Ignite Server.

And added the clients ip/mac address in /etc/bootptab of the Ignite server.

I was following the below Document:-

http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-4815/5992-4815.pdf

So far so good...

On Page 18 of this this document under Boot the Client System from the Ignite-UX Server:-

Procedure for Itanium®-based machines... as mine is a bl860c with 11.31

Issue:

I do not have the option "d. Select the network interface with the MAC address you entered in the /etc/bootptab file."

I am struck at this point and unable to go further...

Conclution:

Any Help will be Appreachited & excellent points will be rewarded.

When you select "add a boot option" you should see a list of disks and NIC MAC addresses, example:

[Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(3|0)/Mac(00306E38497X)]

but you can also go to EFI shell and run

Shell> lanboot select

Now select the right NIC.

Is this a kind of "me-too" question?

The document linked above will tell you - select the clients NIC that was configured to be used on the ignite server.
