    <description>I just went through this and turned cimserver off.  Cimserver is associated to ICOD and SIM.  If you don't need it then:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) cimerserver -s&lt;BR /&gt;2) vi /etc/rc.config.d/cimerserver, set to 0&lt;BR /&gt;3) vi /etc/inittab, # cimserverd&lt;BR /&gt;4) ps -ef | grep cimserverd, kill -9</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;On an RP8440 running 11iv2, CIM process sometime are very CPU consuming, this is a know problem ? As I know those process are also used for different task, (icod, etc) Can I stop and restart process without risk ?&lt;BR /&gt;Txs.</description>

      <description>If this rp8440 has iCAP/iCOD CPUs/Cell boards on it then *do not permanently stop cimserver* - the same goes for the icodd/icapd daemon.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can restart it without concern though - it only matters to iCAP/iCOD if its not there for more than 12 hours.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Duncan</description>

      <description>I've had some loops in cimserver and I just stopped with "cimerserver -s" and restarted it.</description>
