patch installation

I have the following patches in my /tmp

how can i install them

# ll /tmp
PHSS_33277
PHSS_33278
PHSS_33279
README_hp-ux

I have checked

but could not find much information

i have also checked

but it says

Load the patches into /var/tmp/patches/depot:

./create_depot_hp-ux_11

and it dosent work..

#./create_depot_hp-ux_11 gives me an error "dosen't exist.

My OS is 11.23

First uncompres the patches:

sh PHSS_33277
sh ...
sh ...

You will have after that some files like:
PHSS_33277.depot and PHSS_33277.text

use the following command to install patches one by one:
(with preview)
#swinstall -p -s /tmp/PHSS_33277.depot \*

and the install itself:
#swinstall -p -s /tmp/PHSS_33277.depot \*

if you want to install it on the several servers or at one, create a depot, containing all the patches with swcopy.

Sorry second swinstall is without -p (preview) option.

make these pathches into a patch bundle:
1. mave these 4 patches into /tmp/patches directory
2. cd /tmp/patches
3. for i in *
do
sh $i
done
4. mkdir /tmp/depot
for i in /tmp/patches/PH*.depot
swcopy â s $i \* @/tmp/depot
5. swinstall -i, from GUI provide depot path as /tmp/depot...rest is easy.

Before you go down a long twisty path, why do you want to install these obsolete compiler patches? You shouldn't do it because Oracle told you.
