FTP error

Hi All,

While doing FTP getting following error.

ftp> put
(local-file) testFTP
(remote-file) test TP
200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
550 Permission denied.

I checked Port is open.
Permissions given to file.

Pleas assist.

Hi,

You need to check the permissions on the destination directory if it allows to write for the user you are ftping with.

Hi,

You may be trying to put on NFS mount where you(sometime root) may not have permission?

Check the designation if it is NFS mount.

Is this anonymous FTP or for a real user?

A complete, accurate transcript of the whole
session could be more useful than a fragment
like this.

You need to check destenation folder permissions ... FTP error msg said that.
