    <description>It means that the SAPs (ethertypes) for IP and ARP will be unbound from the lan3 interface.  It is "disconnecting" IP and ARP from the interface.</description>

      <description>Well in "manpage" terms it tears down the Streams plumbing for the interface name.&lt;BR /&gt;So it's tearing down the the lan card name or assignment information.&lt;BR /&gt;Deconfiguring...nnnooo.  It's still there, so it's not deconfigured.
