Hi,

I have two rx8640 install hpux 11.31 and use EMC DMX2000 storage, these 2 hpux use the same FA port of DMX2000 and I present 100 LUNs to host_A the id from 00 to 99 without any problems but when I present another lun form id 100 to id 115 to host_B, I can't see any lun after I do ioscan, but if I also present the lun id 0 both to host_A and host_B , then host_B can see the lun from 100 to 115, I ever seen this problem in hpux 11.00 and there is a patch PHKL_24004 to fix this problems, but I haven't seen any patch to fix the problem in 11.31, can anyone help me?

Shalom,

use fcmsutil to display the HBA cards WWN, World Wide Number.

Check that presentation of the LUNS use this number(s).

ioscan -fnC disk

report results.

Be prepared to reboot to get system to recognize the LUN.

What bi-annual 11.31 OS update is installed? Consider installing the latest.

A search of the itrc patch database would also be useful.

SEP

Does the FA have the SPC-2 setting applied to it? It needs to for 11iv3 hosts. If this means nothing to you, it should do to EMC...

HTH

Duncan
