Hi,

is it just ACE or ACE/TAO?
I would use a distribution of e.g.
www.ociweb.com

There are release notes for compiling it under HP-UX - they tell you all what you need.

BTW: Till 11.23 I used the option '-mt' for the compiler (aCC) only - it tell's the real linker (ld) via the '-mt' all about multithreading options it needs ...

mfG Peter

>ld: Unrecognized argument: -mt

This is not a gmake error but a linker error. Why are you invoking ld directly? (Or using -Wl,-mt?)

>Peter: I used the option -mt for the compiler (aCC) only - it tells ld via the -mt all about multithreading

Yes, -mt is a driver option that tells the compiler and linker what to do.
