With A.05.01 and higher, you can have 11.23 and 11.31 vPars. But you have to turn off hyperthreading as it is not supported for 11.23.

Hi Jake,

The following vPars versions are supported in various mixed HP-UX combinations in vPars environment.

Mixed HP-UX 11i v1/v2/v3 vPars

Mixed HP-UX 11i v2/v3 vPars environment within the same hard partition, note that the vPars monitor that must be used is that bundled with A.05.01, A.05.02, or A.05.03 or later.
Steps to update the vPar monitor to A.05.03:

1. Shutdown all vPars except the base vPar
2. Install A.05.03 on the base vPar and then shutdown the base vPar
3. Reboot the vPar Monitor "MON>reboot"
4. Turn of HyperThreading
EFI-Shell> cpuconfig threads off
EFI-Shell> parconfig reset
5. Install A.05.03 on each of the 11.23 vPars and reboot the vPars
6. Now create the 11.31 vPar, install A.05.03 and reboot
Not sure if we have to do this

5. Install A.05.03 on each of the 11.23 vPars and reboot the vPars

The way I understood from the books

Since the base vPar is A.05.03, I would keep all the other vPars at the same level.
