    <description>&amp;gt;&amp;gt;HP disk array( hot-swapable )&amp;lt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It does sounds to me (hot -swapable) meaning you can firmly unplug the defective disk and plug the Good disk "rebuilting the HP - array will rebuilt for you " you need just eye-ball Once the rebulit compelted,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;verify with dd command to the replace disk,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Johnson</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;How to replace faulty disk for Oracle DB that run with +ASM-Raw?. FYI, the ASM disk reside in HP disk array( hot-swapable ). Can I just replace it online and rebuild it? ...does it works like RAID 5 block level file system.?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or maybe someone with ASM background can help? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;DBA + SA = Uptime</description>
