Hi,has anyone successfully cloned a K-class server (11.11) using make_tape_recovery to a rp3440 server? Thanks

Theoretically this is possible.

In practice the hardware is so different from these two platforms it usually fails.

What you can attempt to do is create an Ignite Golden Image which removes much hardware configuration issues and is supported for replication.

I'm not saying its easy, but at least you will get help from HP if you have a software contract.

Hi RJA,

Prior to taking the image install the latest hardware enablement patch bundle. This will enable the new hardwares on the new server.
