i need to find the HPUX is PA-RISC or Itanium? . It is installe by someone already.
How to find this? . Please help me out.

rX... are Itanium, rP.... - PA-RISC servers.

Actually, in my experience, I have found you can run a

uname -a

Itanium will show ia64

systemname:/# uname -a
HP-UX sys-abc B.11.23 U ia64 3875925350 unlimited-user license

PA-RISC will not but instead show the series (9000/800)

systemname:/# uname -a
HP-UX sys-abc B.11.23 U 9000/800 139872607 unlimited-user license

/usr/contrib/bin/machinfo command is uselfull

Hi,

Sagar:machinfo is only for Itanium servers.

uname -a is the right command to chech
