    <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;Hi Waqar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When it takes time in &lt;BR /&gt; * Scanning system for IO devices...&lt;BR /&gt; use ioscan -fn &lt;BR /&gt;check for all the devices  whether its claimed/unclaimed/no_HW.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;normally ignite backup will take 30 - 45 mins ,based on the disk/data size it varies.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check for the backup device . whether status  is offline/online.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt; Analyst.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>what is your issue?  the above looks normal.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is this the same session that you changed the tape on?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;a different session? different server?</description>

      <description>It is a different server, whenever I issue the make_tape_recovery command, it goes for scanning the IOS devices and then just stuck there.</description>

      <description>How about the ignite version on both the server and the client? If the version of the client is higher than the server, then it happens like that.</description>

      <description>well, the versions won't be an issue if you are going to tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it almost sounds like you've got an NFS mounted filesystem that's not responding.</description>
