Hi all, I am using rx7640 with HPUX 11.23, I found that the process called gazemon is always using 100% of CPU. Acccording to the forum, gazemon is used to monitor DS2500 which I don't have. Does anyone know what is the proper way to stop gazemon running on my server, thanks.

Hi,

look at /sbin/init.d directory if there is a startup script about that daemon. if there is run it with stop parameter. this is just to kill the daemon. but you need more to do.

I couldn't find the startup script in /sbin/init.d. And I tried to kill it and it restarted itself. gazemon is one of the process of EMS.

Hi Eric,

in this case, use the monconfig interface to find out whether you can disable this monitor.

Run:

/etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig

and see whether the gazemon can be disabled via the delete monitoring request option.

J.
