    <description>I checed the smb.conf. I saw the user's username there. The range of IPs that could use the samba share looks good. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The WIN host does this, when we try to map the drive and give the \\hostname\mountpoint Win launches that login, and password and after entrering the password, it just sits there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I still could not get the WIN host use the samba share.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;THANKS!</description>

      <description>Hello everyone,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have not worked with samba before so please be patient. we have a an HPUX server that has samba, one of the WIN machines that uses samba shared filesystem changed ( new hw, new ip ) changed. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are there changes to be done in the HPUX side?       <description>does the old machine used user name and password to connect. If you have basic setup then it will only look for the user name not IP.</description>

      <description>if your windows pc authenticating only with username and password then no need to change anything at server end. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please go through the samba configuration file you can get all info in unix server. let me know still have any issue.</description>
