Hi,

what is mpip? If it is IP network multipathing you might be asking this question in the wrong forum :-)

http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-4554/ipmptm-1?l=en&a=view&q=ipmp

Regards,
Robert-Jan

IPMP is a Sun Solaris component for network trunking/failover similar to Auto-Port Aggregation (APA) in HP-UX.

If you want to know about APA go here:

http://docs.hp.com/en/netcom.html#Auto%20Port%20Aggregation%20%28APA%29

If you *really* want to know about Solaris IPMP, then go ask a question on a Sun forum. This is a forum for HP products. That might sound a little harsh, but I think the ITRC forums is one of the things that really differentiate HP-UX from other UNIX flavours (Sun & IBM community support sites are nowhere near as helpful) and I've no desire to help the competition.

Duncan

Is this related to Openview? If so, we should move it to the proper forum:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1022366
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=985750

If Duncan is correct the thread should be deleted.
