    <description>This will provide us more information.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) Can you ping from 172.16.2.2 to 172.16.2.188&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) Login to 172.16.2.188&lt;BR /&gt;Run&lt;BR /&gt;# ftp 0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;### Check if this works&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3) When you are trying to do ftp what is the error you are getting&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4) Is telnet working from 172.16.2.2 to 172.16.2.188&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5) Did you try to ftp from Windows or any other server in same IP class to 172.16.2.188. Does it work ?&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I have two servers , with IP 172.16.2.188 and 172.16.2.2 i can do ftp from 172.16.2.188 to 172.16.2.2 but not allowing from 172.16.2.2 to 172.16.2.188.&lt;BR /&gt;Pls advice..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Biju</description>

      <description>A couple of other things to check on 172.16.2.188:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- ipfstat -in&lt;BR /&gt;Lists your inbound firewall rules, if you are running ipfilter.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- cat /etc/hosts.deny&lt;BR /&gt;If you have ftpd wrapped with tcpd in /etc/inetd.conf&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
