Hi !

I am installing sudo , and getting this error ......Could not start a management session for
"sudo-1.7.0-ia64-11.31.depot[1]:/var/spool/sw" due to an internal
Remote Procedure Call binding failure. The calling routine is
"IC_SourceGet".I have downloaded from porting and archiving site. it's hpv3 and as i can recall i might have read some where that in v3 instead of having various rpc daemon (statd,lockd,mountd..etc) there will be only one rpc daemon ...i have tried installing on various v3 machine, same error ...perhaps some option in /var/adm/sw/defaults ..any idea ?

Get sudo direct from HP. It's in the Internet Express collection available here:

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPUXIEXP1131

Do you have a particular reason for using sudo rather than the built-in RBAC:

http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-8678/ch03.html

HTH

Duncan
