Hi Rajasekar,

If you have public ip configured on hpux server, then you can access the server from internet as simple as that.

But normally what people will do is, have firewall or vpn gateways to access the server from outside network. This is the secure way.

You can check with your network team for details.

If by any chance what are you triying to do is connect to the internet trough a proxy to the internet you can use:

export http_proxy=http://user:passwd@ip_proxy_server:proxy_port

export http_proxy=http://user:passwd@10.9.9.9:80

This is not clear. Please explain exactly
what you wish to do.

Access the HP-UX system from some remote
computer? How? Telnet? rsh/remsh? SSH?
FTP? Web browser?

When an HP-UX system has its network
interface(s) and routes configured, the
question is often more like, "How do I
_limit_ access from outside?".

If there is no proxy needed, simply change the gateway to the IP address other systems use as gateway. File: /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
