may i know what kernel module need to be enabled if the HPUX need to support HBA card?

This depends on the type of HBA card.

For most you need a special driver.

What HBA do you talk about and what OS is running?

But in my understanding you got the kernel problem while installing the driver - so it is somehow related, isn't it?

is that means after installed the latest driver, it is no need to manually make any change on the kernel?

Hi again,

System needs reboot after driver installation since it make changes into the kernel.
