Dear Team,
i would like to extend some space in /var , /opt , /stand , / , /usr etc , can any one please guide me to do this , am attaching the o/p of our current setup . is it necessary for analysys

Hi:

You won't (without more effort and experience) be able to easily do '/' and '/stand' for serveal reasons.

Since you want to effectively resize all of your vg00 filesystems, I would strongly suggest that you take an Ignite backup and use it to re-install your server. Choose the Advanced Installation mode when you boot from the Ignite recovery tape and from there, set the sizes of the logical volumes that you want.

To make a bootable Ignite tape, of the entire contents of vg00, do:

# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn

First of all /stand, swap space and / need to contigeous.

In order to increase any of them, you will have to use ignite and
resize the partitions.

Do you have Online JFS

below command output need to check on JFS Installed.?

# swlist -l product |grep -i jfs

Hello
you still have Free PE 1291, which is around 20GB,

why you want to extend /stand and / these are critical file system for any servers.

you can boot this system in single usermod and try to extend through lvextend for /var /opt /usr
