re : p800 smart array help

Hi Guys,
I have a RX6600 install with a smart array p800 sas controller, somehow or rather the internal hardisk is not hook up to the smart array, can anyone advice how can i connect the internal harddisk to the p800 controller and also how can I activate the sas array utility for the p800 smart controller to configure the raid for the harddisk. The operating system is 11.31 version 3 VSE. Please advice???

Thanks for the info, but I need to know how to cable the internal SAS disk to the p800 sas array controller and also the command to activate the p800 controller utility from hpux 11i v3. Please advice???

According to this internal disks are not supported with P800 and hp-ux:

Hi Torsen,
Can I check if p400 can be used for creating a raid 1 for os and support internal disk boot and a raid 5 for the rest of the 6 disk be used for rx6600 sas drive. Also, how difficult isit to replace the core i/o card sas controller to a p400 core i/o sas controller . Please advice???

The P400 is supported.

Just put it into the desired slot and connect the cables and configure it using ORCA; instructiosn are available at http://docs.hp.com -> I/O cards
or -> server hardware -> rx6600
