    <description>Hi Qb,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Follow the below steps,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. enable CDE&lt;BR /&gt;#/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -e &lt;BR /&gt;Ensure the initdefault level in /etc/inittab is 3 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2.#/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start&lt;BR /&gt;3. If not installed the CDE package, start it &lt;BR /&gt;#/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then try and connect to the server with XWindows client, it can even be another HP-UX or Linux WS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;DISPLAY variable must be set.&lt;BR /&gt;export DISPLAY=&lt;IP_ADDRESS of="" client=""&gt;:0.0&lt;BR /&gt;Example&lt;BR /&gt;export DISPLAY=192.168.0.10:0.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds//&lt;BR /&gt;Taifur&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/IP_ADDRESS&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Karki,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Xmanager = CDE ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From docs.hp.com&lt;BR /&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;Note that CDE is NOT installed by default with HP-UX 11iv3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You must select it from the Optional Products list when installing, or use the install media to now add it in.&lt;BR /&gt;---&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check if dtlogin process is running or not.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#ps -ef |grep -i dtlogin&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;nslookup should be able to resolve from both direction.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Run the script #/usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt to get the possible causes.</description>
