I'm hoping someone can clarify this for me..

I'm familiar with HP-UX 11.0 and 11i (11.11?) yet I see in the patch section of ITRC, and in my weekly patch list, references to HP-UX 11.0, 11.04, 11.10, 11.11, and 11.20. Would someone please point me to a description of each release, or give me a very brief rundown of what the different versions represent.

Thanks in advance,
-Josh-

Hi Joshua:

11.0 is an official release. 11.11 is loosely known as "11i". The "i" stands for Internet (what else). 11.20 is also known as "11i (version 1.5). This release is for the Itanium line of processors.

The 11.04, etc. versions are special releases for unique application suites.

An official timeline for release information can be found here:

http://www.software.hp.com/HPUX-RDMP/history/slide2.html

Regards!

...JRF...
