      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your Samba/CIFS network, probably controlled by a Windows Domain controller uses WINS/Netbios for handling short names.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It can be configured not to do that however the response you are getting is exactly the normal response.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Prior to doing the change, the domain controller needs to be configured to NOT use WINS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is a Windows problem if you are using a windows PDC, Primary Domain Controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It would be best to post to the windows forum for the answer.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On the CIFS side, its just a matter of commenting out the netbios information in smb.conf and restarting the service.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
