      <title>Synchronize boot disk</title>

      <description>i installaed a system patch on a hpux11iv1 machine.&lt;BR /&gt;before the patch installation, i stopped the system and i have swapped out the secondary boot dist.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now i'd like to reinsert the disk again and synchronize it. is there any command that i should execute ?</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgsync should be all that is needed here.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#vgsync vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;once done check with vgdisplay commands for available/synced&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#vgdisplay -v vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;man vgsync for more info&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andy</description>

      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;   You can use &lt;BR /&gt;#vgsync -v vg00 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will take several minutes to complete the process.After complete the process check the status using #vgdisplay -v vg00</description>

      <description>Once you replace the secondary boot disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgcfgrestore -n /dev/vg00 /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a y vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgsync vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -R&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvlnboot -v -&amp;gt; list your bootable disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Johnson&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
