Hi

I have a HP-UX 11.31 MCSG environment.

I didn't get a screenshot, So I will show it by example.

When I did an "ioscan -nfC tape" on node 1, i get the following

/dev/rmt/0m
/dev/rmt/1m
/dev/rmt/2m
/dev/rmt/3m

and on node 2 I get the following.

/dev/rmt/3m
/dev/rmt/4m
/dev/rmt/5m
/dev/rmt/6m

So my question is... how come both node is not sync with the device path?

I got another rack with HP-UX11.31 MCSG environment, both node the device path are sync.

Is there anyway to make the device path sync?

Shalom,

This is probably from the SCSI address of the device as connected to the second system.

If attached to the same scsi card in the same position in the server they should be the same.

There is a procedure for fixing that.

Few links:
http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-60130/ioinit.1M.html

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1304342

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=695058

SEP
