To get all the new features you should use the current install media (march 2009) and use "update-ux".

Customer's system had installed the first version of hpux11iv3 (Feb, 2007). Now we found that there's no HWenable, QPK and Feature software pack.
Described as below:
HP-UX 11i v3 Patch Bundles and Software Pack: The initial release of HP-UX
11i v3 will not include the standard Quality Pack (QPK) and Hardware Enablement (HWE) patch bundles or the Software Pack that delivers optional new core enhancements. The delivery of these patch bundles and the Software Pack is planned for the first update release of HP-UX 11i v3.
（HP-UX 11i Version 3 Release Notes HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers）-PAGE 41
Manufacturing Part Number: 5991-6469
February 2007

My question is :

Now we encountered an serious performance issue when Apach software is installed. The engineer's suggestion is to install the HWenable/QPK/Feature software bundles. Can we install the latest bunles into the initial system? Or any other suggestion?

Thanks
There are a couple of things you can do.

1) Update to the latest version of 11iv3 via swupdate.

2) Install all of the latest patches. I would use Software Assistant (SWA) to determine what exactly needs to be installed.

Hi Patrick

Is there any links that introduce the SWA?

Thanks
