    <description>Dear &lt;BR /&gt;check whether the CD rom is properly mounted or not if so it will show error,or if you are trying to install from a non root directory as if /tmp( in which the depot is copied) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;restart the swagent daemon and &lt;BR /&gt;use swinstall -s &lt;DEPOT path=""&gt;  name &lt;BR /&gt;The above command will  start the installation process&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you can use SAM also for the same purpose&lt;/DEPOT&gt;</description>

Check permissions using the "swacl"&lt;BR /&gt;         command or see your system administrator for assistance.  Or,&lt;BR /&gt;         to manage applications designed and packaged for nonprivileged&lt;BR /&gt;         mode, see the "run_as_superuser" option in the "sd" man page.&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   "aagcdb:/":  You do not have the required permissions to&lt;BR /&gt;         select this target. Do:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swagentd -r&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure that your server's hostname appears in your '/etc/hosts' along with its fully qualified domain name as an alias.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>

      <description>It looks like you are using a relative path to the depot or specifying the depot as would work for swlist.  Use a command of the form:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ swinstall -s /your/path/here/file.depot</description>

      <description>yes, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   you can do as :- &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   # swinstall -s &lt;DEPOT path=""&gt; &lt;PATCHNNAME&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not succeeded, then try it after restarting the swagentd daemon. But make sure, you must have the your FQDN in the /etc/hosts file.&lt;/PATCHNNAME&gt;&lt;/DEPOT&gt;</description>

      <description>Prasant,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;first try previwing the install rather than direct installs. the preview will let you know if any pre-reqs are needed and if there is a reboot needed.&lt;BR /&gt;the preview doesn't install, but always useful to know what it does when you actually install without the -p option&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swinstall -p -s /opt/software/your-patch-name  PATCH-NAME&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
