    <description>Hello all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Before hand I have to say this is unfamiliar territory for me when it comes to 11.31 so I hope you'll bare with me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;An HP-UX 11.31 system has been set up to run on a BL860c vg00 has been setup with persistent devices connected to the internal SAS controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I perform a diskinfo on the persistent devices everything is fine I get the output as expected. But when I run the diskinfo command on the corresponding legacy devices the command hangs (also tried this on a similar setup where the command does not hang). I checked my syslog and checked the disk with cstm and everything seems fine. After a lot of searching on the forums here and the web I thought maybe it had something to do with the WWID not matching. But after a few more check ups I am not to sure about this anymore.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As I have limited access to the system I am really looking for hints and/or pointers to what to look for so I can read up on it and try it out when I do have access to the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;One of the things in particular I am interested in is how can I match up the WWID of a legacy device with the WWID of the corresponding persistent device.       <description>It's getting always a bit tricky when it comes to SAS controllers ... &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;A good point to start is this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now you know if you have "plain" disks or a hardware RAID. It will also tell the SAS ID.</description>

      <description>I had run:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# scsimgr get_info -D /dev/rdisk/&lt;PERSISTENT dsk=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;which gave me the WWID and tried to match that with:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -knNfH &lt;HW path="" of="" the="" disk=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Which gave me something that also looked like the WWID but did not match in the end.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Would scsimgr give me the correct info on the particular SAS internal attached disk?&lt;/HW&gt;&lt;/PERSISTENT&gt;</description>

      <description>The command:&lt;BR /&gt;sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid &lt;BR /&gt;Just hangs like the diskinfo does.</description>
