Gold quality pack query

Hi All,
I have HP 9000 rp4440 server running B.11.11 U operating system. I ran the swinv tool and uploaded the file to UTRC and get it analysed and the report recommends GOLDQPK11i B.11.11.0812.479 december 2008 and also suggest to install some missing pathes.

We have Gold quality pack of June 2007 Installed on the server.
# swlist -l bundle | grep -i gold
GOLDAPPS11i B.11.11.0706.467 Applications Patches for HP-UX 11i v1, June 2007
GOLDBASE11i B.11.11.0706.467 Base Patches for HP-UX 11i v1, June 2007

So its the 3rd release of Gold quality pack after the quality pack installed on the server. Could we directly go to install this latest quality pack?

Has this bundle undergone enough test to believe it as stable in our production environment? (Apologies , I know they are all undergone tests but just wanted to know if any one has some point to share from the experience)

Yes.

I always test the latest Gold Pack in the lab before going production with it.

But you need not install missing Gold Packs or QPK's. The latest if it works for you will take care of all needs.

All such patch bundles are cumulative, so you only need to install the latest. Such bundles contain only "stable" patches. (3 stars, see

Thank you very much SEP, for your quick response.

I will install on development and test servers before going in to production. But does the latest Qulaity pack take care of any patches handled by previous quality packs or do we need to install all the previous quality pack also ?
