Here is part of what it says:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"Starting with HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23), the supported limits of LVM volume groups has gradually increased. In HP-UX 11i v3 (11 .31), LVM delivers significant performance, scalability, usability, and availability enhancements. After the initial release of HP-UX 11iv3 in February 2007, three updates occurred in September 2007, March 2008, and September 2008. All of the 100gb will be avaialbale to the vg you create(25600x4mb=100gb)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2)Then, this PE size and Max PE per PV will be taken for all othere PV if we are adding future?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;100GB is all that VG can use with 25600 max PE settings. Consider using the -s option to specify a different PE size, go for 8mb instead of 4mb, so you will be able to add more disks to the VG later and grow the size of the VG&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3)So in futuer we have to add PV upto 100GB only?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You will need to read that document to understand more about VGs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4)othere wise it will be taken only 100GB?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls answer one by one.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Which is your OS version??&lt;BR /&gt;==&amp;gt;If it is 11.31, by default vgmodify command will work.&lt;BR /&gt;==&amp;gt;If it is 11.23, you have to install LVM commands patch PHCO_38717 along with its dependencies PHKL_31500 and PHKL_32095.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;LIJEESH N G</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have bigger size disks and if you dont wannt your LVs in very small sizes, I would always suggest you to go with PE of 32MB.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Sooraj</description>
