> OnlineDiag B.11.31.01.03 HPUX 11.31 Support Tools Bundle, February 2007
> SysFaultMgmt C.01.00.29.01 HPUX System Fault Management

Bottom line: you have to upgrade both of them.

They are too old :-) Both of them are the first version for 11.31.

Why don't you upgrade them ?

CIMUtil command had been provided in old SFM. But it was a tool
for HP Support Engineer. So there're none of information
available except for the usage printed when illegal option is
specified. Now it's a support tool from the latest SFM 11.31
0903 (C.05.00.06.01) as the SFM Release Notes states "SFM
introduces the CIMUtil command". Therefore you can read the man
page.

I understand the HP_ManagementProcessor class needs MP Indication
Provider (you can confirm if you have it, MPProvider, through
'cimprovider -lm SFMProviderModule') which is provided from 11.31
0709 SFM (C.02.00.04.yy) or later.

NOTE: you should not make a response center call about CIMUtil as
long as you are using the old SFM.

Do you have 0903 OE/APPL media ? If you have, it's very simple to
upgrade your OE from 11.31 initial version to 0903 using
update-ux. Then you have almost of the software components
required for the latest OnlineDiag and SFM. Afterwards, you
should install DASProvider from the 0903 application media.

Here's the 0903 components list when I cold-installed 0903:
- openssl A.00.09.08h.040
- SysMgmtWeb A.3.0.0
- WBEMServices A.02.07.04
- EVM-EventMgr B.11.31
- SysMgmtBase B.00.02.04.05
- ProviderSvcsBase C.01.00.03.01
- SysMgmtPlus A.01.00.06
- DASProvider B.11.31.0903.01
- EventMonitoring A.04.20.31.03
- OnlineDiag B.11.31.05.06
- SysFaultMgmt C.05.00.06.01

If you don't want to upgrade your OE, you should consider to
select-install them.

If you don't have 0903 media, you have to prepare for the
prerequisites components for the latest OnlineDiag and SFM. The
installation page for the mega bundle 'DiagProdCollention' helps
you understand them:

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayInstallInfo.do?productNumber=DiagProdCollection

Good Luck !!

> it seems value 4 of LED color refers to unknown, but indeed it
> is green, would you please tell me why?

Does your MP have the capability for Locator LED display ?

MP:CM> LOC

or

After accessing http://10.*.*.10 using Web Browser, does the
status summary page in the System Status tab shows the status
for Locator LED ("Turn LED On"/"Turn LED Off" button available) ?

I saw the same value 4 for LEDColour on rx7620 where MP doesn't
implement LOC command and Locator LED doesn't exist.
I don't think a big/fat server such as Superdome sx2000 has a
locator LED.

Indeed I can not find any locator LED information in the
following document:

User Service Guide HP Integrity Superdome/sx2000 and
HP9000/sx2000 Servers
March 2009
http://docs.hp.com/en/A9834-9001D_ed5/A9834-9001D_ed5.pdf

Hope this helps you,
