please HELP...

Every time i run this command
# make_tape_recovery -Av
this error always display.
sh: make_tape_recovery: not found.

tried reinstallaing Ignite. but encountered some errors

ignite version c7.7.98.

below is the error message

Hi,
With this sort of error, I will suspect a corrupted depot. Try to download the depot another time and swverify it.

Hi

Check your depot is proper or not

swverify \*

then

swconfigure \*

or try below depot

http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=IGNITEUXB

and then install it again.

one problem is ignite version c7.7.98 is not available anymore. ignite version c7.8.201 is the latest version. just incase i need to recover from cd..i would might a problem.

...any other option...? thanks

You can always create a new CD with your latest ignite, so it matches.

One of your messages says: C.7.7.98" is already installed.

Why are you reinstalling it? As Suraj said, does the absolute path exist? /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery

yup..ignite is already installed but i keep on encountering the error. thats why i tried reinstalling it.

i tried the command
# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -Av
but the error is still the same.

either the original installation had issues, or there is some kind of permissions problem.

what, if anything, is in /opt/ignite/bin ???

Hello there may be corruption you should try first this

swverify \*

if there is no curruption then

try
which make_tape_recovery

go to path and run it through ./make_tape_recovery

and

cd /opt/ignite/bin
./make_tape_recovery

Hi,

You have to install IGNITEUX for make_tape_recovery. If previous installed IGNITEUX not work , then remove and install new IGNITEUX.

Then check that issue by make_tape_recovery.
