    <description>We are re-arranging the SCSI devices and need to unplug the SCSI cable from the back of the server. Do we have to "dismount" all the SCSI devices first?  Can we disconnect the SCSI cable without shutting the server? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you in advacned for answers.</description>

      <description>Never open an active SCSI bus - oherwise you can damage your system or loose data.</description>

      <description>Unless you have a hot-plug connector (most external ports are NOT hot-pluggable) you should really power down the devices on both ends of a SCSI cable before disconnecting it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
