keyboard stops working when CDE is up.

On an Itanium zx2000 workstation using hp-ux 11.31. Any ideas why ?

If memory serves, 11.31 is not supported on any workstations, though that doesn't necessarily explain your problem. You say it *stops* working. When does it work and when does it stop?

If booting is interrupted at the boot manager, it lets me type commands there at the FS> prompt. When CDE starts, the keyboard stops working. Cannot login.

Booted into single user mode. The keyboard stopped working here.
