      <description>login to EVA command view (our SAN)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) verify you have presented the vdisks to our host&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;select your EVA network&lt;BR /&gt;select host&lt;BR /&gt;select presentation&lt;BR /&gt;do you see the disks and the lun numbers assigned&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;if none shows up, then&lt;BR /&gt;2)create a vdisk&lt;BR /&gt;3) select presentation&lt;BR /&gt;4) select the host&lt;BR /&gt;5) it will auto assign a lun or you can select using Assing luns.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then login to our unix&lt;BR /&gt;do ioscan -f&lt;BR /&gt;insf -e&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now check ioscan -fnkCdisk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;they should show up as claimed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did someone create links (ln -s) from /dev/rmt/7* --&amp;gt; /dev/rmt/c9t3d1BEST* ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try this;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# rmsf -H 0/4/2/0.45.0.255.1.3.0&lt;BR /&gt;# rmsf -H 0/4/2/0.45.0.255.1.3.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check if all device files have been remove from /dev/rmt otherwise remove them by hand (rm).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# insf -eH 0/4/2/0.45.0.255.1.3.0&lt;BR /&gt;check output from "ioscan -fnCtape"&lt;BR /&gt;# insf -eH 0/4/2/0.45.0.255.1.3.0&lt;BR /&gt;check output from "ioscan -fnCtape" again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>

      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do an insf -e&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BEST /dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTn&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTb /dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTnb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;These can be well used directly with commands as well as in scripts.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;use these in assumed places like &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BEST  -- for /dev/rmt/*m&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTn -- /dev/rmt/*mn&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTb -- /dev/rmt/*mb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/rmt/c9t3d0BESTnb -- /dev/rmt/*mnb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;sujit</description>
