Dear Rajesh.

1.What is the command to halt and TOC a vpar?
To halt r3portal from a running vpar. login into the running vpar.

vparreset -p r3portal â h

to toc
login to a running partition.
vparreset -p r3portal -t

2.Which command is used to load all the virtual partitions?
The first npar is also is your first vpar.
then you need to set the mode to tell if its npar mode or vpar mode.

so if you set the mode to npar, then you don't have vpar running.

If your mode is vpar mode, then this will load the vpars.
ISL> hpux /stand/vpmon
MON> vparload -p r3portal

3.How to backup a vpar?
in our case (usually this is the way it should be) each vpar has 2 disks. so we mirror the primary disk to the 2nd one.

If you mean backing up the OS, we ignite this to an ignite server.
