    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;As every one said always try to find out in man pages if you didn't understan then you can ask at forum.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;here is the ans&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;Could u explain the output of the sar-d command and i how can i come to know which disk is busy and how to know the disk is bus&lt;BR /&gt;-d is for Monitor disk activity&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Report activity for each block  device  (for  example, disk  or  tape  drive) with the exception of XDC disks and tape drives. When data is  displayed,  the  device specification  dsk-  is  generally used to represent a disk drive. The device specification used to represent a  tape  drive is machine dependent. The activity data reported is:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;%busy, avque &lt;BR /&gt;portion of time device was busy servicing  a  transfer request, average number of requests outstanding during that time.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;read/s, write/s, blks/s&lt;BR /&gt;number of read/write  transfers  from  or  to  device, number of bytes transferred in 512-byte units.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;avwait&lt;BR /&gt;average wait time in milliseconds.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;avserv&lt;BR /&gt;average service time in milliseconds.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Suraj&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In my serevr...&lt;BR /&gt;08:00:00   device   %busy   avque   r+w/s  blks/s  avwait  avserv&lt;BR /&gt;08:00:02   c2t0d0    1.49    0.50       2      32    0.01   13.94&lt;BR /&gt;08:00:04   c2t0d0    1.50    0.50       2      32    0.01   12.40&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Average    c2t0d0    1.50    0.50       2      32    0.01   13.17&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"avwait" should be less than "avserv" ie wait time should be less than service time.&lt;BR /&gt;"avque" should be less than 0.50 as far as I know.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check these for your disks.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Refer man pages for exact meaning of the terms.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds,&lt;BR /&gt;R.K.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
