      <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to establish a timeout that cannot be overridden by the user, use this in the '/etc/profile' for Posix and Korn shells:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# readonly TMOUT=60;export TMOUT&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Remember that the timeout begins only when the shell is at the PS1 prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

If they are idle in an application or shell script, its not going to work.</description>
