Hi,

There is a limit to Shared memory(shmmax) which you
can assign, depending on the O/S. Since you
have a 10.20 , which is 32 -bit , the
maximum you can assign is 1 Gb (0x40000000 )

-raj

Hi, all masters,

I'm going to add new memory cards into my T600 server which currently, has 2GB RAM. The target RAM is 3.75GB which is the limitation of T600 on Hp-UX 10.20. Sybase is running on this server. So I will boost shared memory from current 1.2GB to new value to make full use of memory capacity.
So My question is that what new value should I assign to shared memory? Are there any maximum for share memory on Hp-ux 10.20?

Thanks a lot!
