      <description>Hi everybody,&lt;BR /&gt;Need some help on EMC Power Path on HP unix.&lt;BR /&gt;I have installed the EMCPP on a hp machine which has Veritas volume manager also.&lt;BR /&gt;HOw to initialise the disks using EMCPP so that the disks are seen under the control of EMCPP ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance.</description>

      <description>1)Assign the LUNS to the server(from storage).&lt;BR /&gt;2) #ioscan -fnC disk&lt;BR /&gt;3) #insf -e&lt;BR /&gt;4) powermt config&lt;BR /&gt;5) powermt save&lt;BR /&gt;6) powermt display&lt;BR /&gt;7) powermt display dev=all&lt;BR /&gt;use the c*t*d* from powermt output and use this on LVM / VXVM.</description>

      <description>Thanks for the reply.&lt;BR /&gt;However,still some issues :&lt;BR /&gt;First I assigned external disks from clariion array[multiple paths] to my HP 11.23 machine.&lt;BR /&gt;Then installed the EMCPP 5.1 on the machine.&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan -C disk shows the disks properly but powermt display dev=all shows initialization error as I didnt reboot the machine after installing EMCPP.If I reboot the machine,it just hangs after "Starting EMC Powerpath "&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any suggestions ?</description>

      <description>use #powermt restore if o/p is showing errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Normally EMC powerpath will take time during booting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope you are using PA machine.</description>
