Problem in EMC PowerPath on HP unix

Hi everyone,
I need some help in EMCPP on HP 11.23.
Assigned some disks from Clariion to my HP machine.Then installed the EMCPP 5.1 on the machine.Rebooted the machine.While booting,it gives the message as "Starting EMC Powerpath" and then just hangs.
I removed the FC cables from the machine and hardbooted the machine,then it came up properly.
Has anyone seen this issue ?

Shalom,

Check /etc/rc.log

/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log

EMC may have its own little log file.

There must be a message.

swlist -l product | grep -i emc

swverity EMC software from that list.

Hi

Its a know issues in EMCPP 5.1 your machine is not in hung state, but it will take some time at the time of machine bootup while initialising EMCPP 5.1

I have seen it in so many Box it tooks 10-15 Mins atleast.

check this "Install PowerPath 5.1.0 Hot Fix 4 causes boot sequence to increase." in the knowledge base."
