Trip wire not generating mails.

hi team,

In our hp-ux boxes we installed tripwire & for OS mount points it works fine notifier mails are generated but for application mount points it dosent generates.
any modification to be done?

Shalom,

First find the cause.

See /var/adm/syslog/mail.log

Look at cron to figure out what time to focus on.

Post the error if the cause is not evident and easy to fix.

Hi:

I have not personally used 'tripwire', but based upon a cursory examination of some of the documentation on the web, I would ask you if you edited the '/etc/tripwire/twpol.txt'; installed it; and generated an initial database with it.

You don't offer details of how you configured the product or if it behaves correctly for your operating system's files. For example, if you deliberately change a monitored file do you get an email notification?
