      <description>HP-UX 11.23&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My hostname command shows: MyHostname.&lt;BR /&gt;My Reflection X software shows the name of the server only as: MyHostname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Other HP-UX servers shows: MyHostname.MyDomani.Org in both (command line and Reflection X)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How to change the hostname to be showed as fully qualifyed hostname (MyHostName.Mydomain.org)?</description>

      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can change your hostname in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file.Look out what entry is there for hostname and change it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Sunny</description>

      <description>Hi Tonatiuh,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check you hostname in /etc/hosts file and i'm sure it will be in this format MyHostname.MyDomani.Org.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If that is the case, it is absolutely fine.       <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to change hostname the correct solution is&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/set_parms hostname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Everything else (for example changing manually files like netconf and /etc/hosts) is not the best way.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyway having hostname with complete domain I think it's not good, or maybe you have already checked the attached document.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Fabio</description>
