Can not install the patch

Hi,

We are trying to patch HPUXv 11.11 machine with an LVM patch PHKL_35742 that has the following dependencies: PHCO_21187, PHCO_23651, PHCO_23791, PHKL_18543, PHKL_19202, PHKL_20016, PHKL_22589, PHKL_27980, PHKL_28766

We created a bundle per instruction noted on README_hp-ux file step by step.

But when running swinstall given the source, we got the following error.

Can anyone tell me what we can do at this point?

Below is the verbose of installation. The swagent.log will be also attached.

Hi,

Try using only swinstall then text window will open navigate select the hsotname and give the absolute path for depot.

Patch PHKL_35742 is for HP-UX 11.00 and NOT 11.11.

The patches you mention are ALL for HP-UX 11.00 and will ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOT WORK on HP-UX 11.11.

The latest LVM cumulative patch for HP-UX 11.11 is:

Patch Name: PHCO_35955
Patch Description: s700_800 11.11 LVM commands cumulative patch
Creation Date: 07/03/20
Post Date: 07/05/16

There is no "could be the reason!" That DEFINITELY is the reason.

Thanks so much for the quick response. Sorry for the late acknowledgment. It seemed we already had this Patch installed. Thanks for letting us know the patch we were using was the wrong one.

Hi,

Before installing, check its dependecies and read all special installation instructions of the patches.

It is recomended to take ignite backup before installing any patch.
